We've come along way.

MedVance Institute in Cookeville, Tennessee, formerly known as Cumberland School of Medical Technology, was established in June 1970 with a program of study for Medical Laboratory Technicians. The school was founded to provide career opportunities in the allied health professions. In 1988 the school changed its name from Cumberland School of Medical Technology to Cumberland School of Technology and added additional allied health training programs. In May of 2000, KIMC Investments, L.P. acquired Cumberland School of Technology. The school name was changed to MedVance Institute in July 2000.

MedVance Institute of Baton Rouge was founded in January 1991 in Baton Rouge, LA as Medical Careers Academy. When acquired by KIMC Investments, L.P. in May of 2001 the name was changed to MedVance Institute of Baton Rouge.

In November 2001, MedVance Institute opened the first Florida campus in Atlantis, Florida. In October of 2005, the school was moved to a beautiful campus in Palm Springs, Florida, which is southwest of West Palm Beach, Florida.

In June 2002, the second Florida campus was established in Miami, Florida.

In September of 2002, MedVance Institute of Ft. Lauderdale, the third Florida school, was established.

MedVance Institute, located in Stuart, FL was previously the Port St. Lucie School of Practical Nursing established in 1990. In June of 2003, the nursing school was acquired by MedVance Institute.

MedVance Institute in Houston, Texas was originally known as Transworld Academy, which was founded in 1991 to address the growing shortage of health care workers. In April 2003, MedVance Institute acquired the school.

In January 2005, the second Tennessee campus of MedVance Institute was established and is located in Nashville.

In January of 2008, the second MedVance Institute Texas school was established and located in the north Houston area.

In March 2008, the third MedVance Institute Texas school was established in Grand Prairie.
